V Zero Seven Preview
Copied from the Readme file:
Final minor build before the game system is officially updated to v0.7.
Advances in quest module implementation:
Added an introductory cutscene to each of the six starting locations. Officially titled "Worldwide on the Widest Screen", this set of scenes introduces different characters and parts of the lore to the player. Watch them all! From the Customization screen, the player may pick an option that allows the cutscenes to be skipped. Quick starting a game from the title screen always skips the cutscene.
"This Way Madness Lies"... a preliminary version of the game's first main quest is finally available! Completing it rolls the credits (kinda), giving the demo the "end state" it should have always had (per DD rules). Disclaimer: this quest currently uses some placeholder text and isn't optimized for multiplayer (though still playable).
The tooltip for actions that let you escape battle now offer a preview of the escape rate. Thank you Shin Megami Tensei Five: Vengeance!
When saving a game to a different slot from the one that was originally loaded, if applicable, the F5 prompt will now be automatically filled in with the ID number of the last saved game instead of the last loaded one. This is an improvement over the implementation first seen in v0.0.6.6.
Fixed the New session button loading a previously booted up game after having returned to the title screen once.
Fixed a bug where adding companions to Team 1 would enable option icons for the other (empty) teams.
Fixed anomalous behavior when loading autosaves created when the earliest team in a day is on an active engagement.
Fixed it being possible to crash the game by clicking through scrolling message boxes too quickly.
Fixed the game being unable to memorize your battle speed option in between engagements.
Fixed cancelling choices still being possible by right-clicking (despite claims in the previous version's changelog), crashing the game. Oops!
"This Way Madness Lies" quest outline (spoilers):
1. Train until Lv. 4, unlocking the true monster encounter table.
2. Trigger an encounter with one of the atypical monsters.
3. Report to the Citadel.
